About the Role

We are looking for a Scheme Manager for 20 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm.

Moatview Court comprises of 41 Category II retirement leasehold and 5 Socially Rented flats for people over the age of 60 years, including communal gardens and a communal lounge.

The Scheme Manager has an important function in providing general overseeing for the welfare of the residents and organising social activities as well as ensuring the common areas of the estate are maintained to a high standard.

The proper maintenance of Community Care Alarm System records and prompt notification of any changes is a key responsibility as is attention to safety measures including fire protection arrangements.

There is accommodation included with this role but it is optional and subject to suitability..

Key Responsibilities

As part of your duties you will maintain daily contact with each resident to be assured of their health and wellbeing.  You will be required to keep a daily log and keep residents' records up to date.

You will be responding to any calls on the warden call system and summon aid if required and provide support as necessary.

You will establish the care and support needs of residents and liaise with Social Services, GP's and other agencies if required.

As part of the role you will be interviewing prospective residents and showing them around the scheme.

We encourage a community atmosphere and it would be your responsibility to provide information for residents on local services and community activities and build close links with all agencies providing services for the over 60's in the area.

We do have guest accommodation on site for visitors and it would be your responsibility to co-ordinate the use of this and also the common room and summerhouse. 

Maintain the lifeline equipment, fire alarm system, emergency lights and firefighting equipment.

Supervision of the gardening and cleaning contractors.

Liaising with the local Fire Prevention Officer to ensure that fire prevention measures are made clear to residents and fire drills are carried out as required and completing Health & Safety inspections each month.
