We are exclusively recruiting a Key Account Manager for our client, a prominent player in the pet industry. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join their team. The role is paying a salary upwards of £40k+ a great bonus structure and benefits. This is looking after the West of England, ideally you will live along the M5 corridor so you can reach the customers easily but we are open to other areas. Some of these benefits include income protection and death in service. You will recieve company pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, laptop, phone, credit card for fuel and expenses and brand new hybrid car.
 
In this role as Key Account Manager, you will represent the brands with integrity, promote diversity, superb service and contribute to a positive culture. As a Key Account Manager, your focus will be on driving profitable growth for the business within the specified territory.

Managing a substantial portfolio of existing business, your goal is to achieve sales growth and secure new business opportunities. Conducting regular account reviews, virtual meetings, and identifying distribution opportunities are integral parts of the role. Engaging with prospective accounts, creating bespoke marketing plans, and ensuring optimal representation of the brands in stores and digital marketplaces will be key responsibilities.

As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Managing a large amount of existing business through approx 25 key customers within the territory.
  • Striving for a +10% sales value growth.
  • Conducting regular account reviews on a 4, 6, or 8-week basis.
  • Initiating 80 calls/virtual meetings monthly, encompassing account reviews and prospect discussions.
  • Identifying distribution opportunities within the current account base.
  • Engaging with potential direct accounts and/or exploring contract manufacturing opportunities.
  • Developing and monitoring Joint Business Plans.
  • Taking charge of creating bespoke marketing plans.
  • Ensuring optimal representation of the brands in every store and/or digital marketplace.
  • Collaborating and forming partnerships with Regional and National Wholesalers to unearth new business opportunities.
For this Key Account Manager role we would love to see CV's from people who:
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on field sales experience.
  • Demonstrate some expertise in key account management.
  • Have a proven track record in generating new business opportunities.
  • Have an-depth understanding of animal nutrition, with a focus on canine.
  • Are seasoned in creating bespoke marketing plans and materials.
  • Are experienced in formulating yearly budgets and forecasts.
  • Exhibiting excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and multitasking capabilities.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer focus in all interactions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and work independently.
  • Passionate about animals, with a particular love for dogs.
