Job Title: Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor
Location: Burton-on-Trent and Swadlincote
Job Type: Flexible, On-Call

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers and ensuring that students continue to learn and engage with the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11-16) in the absence of the regular teacher.
Implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher or the school.
Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies.
Ensure students stay on task and complete the assigned work.
Provide support and guidance to students as necessary.
Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school administration.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
Flexibility to respond to early morning calls and be available on short notice.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for working with young people and contributing to their education.
Ability to adapt to different school environments and situations.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
