Document Controller

I have an exciting opportunity to work for a progressive, successful building contractor in Leeds and York. The company delivers new build and refurbishment schemes including Student accomodation, residential apartments and retirement living.

The business is looking to appoint a Document Controller to be based  in Leeds and York, working alongside the Design Manager and Project Manager to ensure the design administration runs smoothly and is up to date.

Document Controller role:

  • To be responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of all documents. 
  • Control of the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced to ensure accuracy, whilst ensuring that all relevant Company Group & Sector Specific Procedures and Policies are met, in accordance with the Integrated Business Management System.

Document Controller Person specification: 

  • Previous experience of document control or previous construction site experience
  • Strong IT skills in MS office
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A good level of education
  • Knowledge of EDMs platforms including Viewpoint for Projects and Fieldview.
