We specialise in the manufacture of nut butters and associated products, for both branded and private label customers. We are a slick operation and have set ourselves up for the long term.

Started during the pandemic, we have tripled in turnover and grown from strength to strength at the most challenging times. We have taken nut butters to the next level with our award-winning flavours, offering ground-breaking ingredient combinations and innovation to the category.

We have also become a supplier to the UK’s major high street retailers with a strong own label offering, challenging the more established players in the market. We have launched over 100 products with many more in the pipelines, and have been investing in new equipment, machinery, people and now opening our second factory in Oct’24.

What are we looking for?

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, we are looking for an experienced individual within sales to join the business in this newly created role. Working closely with the MD, you will be expected to lead and develop this area of the business by generating new customers and improving existing business.

You must be a self-driven individual, who can manager workload effectively with minimal support. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with the desired knowledge and background looking for the next step in their career to drive a newly created role to not only their own success but that of the business.

Core Responsibilities will include: 

  • Working closely with major retailers utilising industry knowledge to add value and grow the business even further
  • Seek business opportunities within existing accounts and new account listings for our brands, in retail, wholesale, hospitality and food service
  • Generate leads to bring in new private label customers
  • Achieve new listings and expand our brands’ exposure to high street retailers, wholesalers and distributors; also exploit opportunity for sachet size formats in hotels and food-service outlets
  • Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships to generate new revenue streams
  • Provide feedback on competitor activities and market trends in the category
  • Create effective business plans / strategies in line with budgets, costing, packaging, pricing etc.
  • Full P&L responsibility for customer portfolio
  • Day to day customer management and maintenance of current accounts
  • Negotiate effectively to close new business with maximum return

Key skills & experience we’re looking for 

  • A successful track record in sales, business development and account management
  • Strong on using data to make category arguments;
  • Strong commercial & financial understanding; experience of pricing
  • 2 years Blue chip experience within FMCG (food)
  • Experience in prospecting for new food distribution across grocery, wholesale and speciality channels
  • Clear success in building new distribution for brands
  • Entrepreneurial and willing to be part of a fast-growing business
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional ability to build and sustain long term relationships at all levels (internal and external)
  • Highly self-motivated, self-disciplined and results focused
  • Clean driving licence
