Our client are a leading SME residential developer with a passion for creating high-quality homes that exceed their customers’ expectations. Producing 100 units a year with growth plans in place to triple this in the coming years, they are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team based at their head office in Kent.

**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead three live projects in Kent. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the projects, including cost management, sub contract procurement, and contract administration. You will work closely with the project teams to ensure that the developments are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

**Responsibilities:**

* Prepare and manage project budgets, including forecasting and cost reporting
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure best value for the company
* Administer contracts, including negotiating with contractors and suppliers
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring that the company’s interests are protected
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations

**Requirements:**

* Degree or other construction related qualification
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in a quantity surveying role, preferably in residential development
* Proven track record of managing commercial teams and delivering successful projects
* Excellent knowledge of construction law, contracts, and procurement procedures
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising multiple projects and deadlines
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and construction software such as Asta, Conquest, or similar
