Operations Coordinator | Rochdale | Full Time | £24,000 - £30,000 basic salary + Pension + 20 days holiday

Samper Installation Ltd has a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to join their busy Projects team.

We specialise in the installation and maintenance of single and integrated automated materials handling systems on behalf of our clients.  The business offers a wide range of installation services to cater for the requirements of its client base, including the installation of AutoStore systems, Layer Picker systems, and conveyor systems.  Samper has over 20 years of operational history and has cultivated strong client relationships, producing a large amount of repeat customers.

As an Operations Coordinator, you will report to our Head of Operations and be responsible for supporting all operational and project planning activities including organising site tools and materials. You will be a key member of the team working alongside sales managers, and site supervisors and be expected to be a strong team player and have the ability to work flexibly without supervision.

Skills and qualifications:

  • You may already be in a Project Management discipline and we would be interested in candidates who have experience working in any fast paced environment
  • Staffing recruitment background could be of interest
  • Qualified candidates will have impeccable verbal and written communication skills, a strong ability to multi-task and a friendly demeanour
  • You will need to be a genuine team player but also capable of working under your own initiative
  • Good PC & IT skills including Excel & Word Experience in materials handling site operations or project management would be ideal
  • Computer literate, especially O365
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Proactive and punctual

What will your role look like?

  • Provide support to the Operations Manager in all aspects of projects and site manning planning
  • Update and maintain systems with current and amended planning, timing & resource data
  • Provide general administration support for the Projects and Operations team
  • Provide documentation support for the site teams as required.
  • Provide support to sales/operations for ordering supplies and hiring equipment for a site as and when necessary
  • Assisting with PPE and staff uniform orders
  • Any other duties as required by sales and operations
  • Providing holiday and sickness cover to the operations team
