Duties of a Outbound first line Manager

• Ensure all health and safety requirements are met to the highest standards
• Follow all Company procedures and legislative/ best practice requirements in relation to People/HR matters
• Support the delivery of operational and customer KPIs working to the overall plan, including management and reporting
• Support the team by continuously reviewing ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as supporting on continuous improvement initiatives
• Implement best practice warehousing principles, policies, and processes
• Manage labour resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements
• Ensure the effective performance management of warehouse operatives
• Key holder for the site and locking up duties

Experience required for the Outbound first line Manager

• Management experience within a warehousing and distribution environment
• Have the proven ability to drive engagement through your team through coaching and mentoring and through supporting the delivery of set operational and customer KPIs
• Have a good understanding of customer expectations and deliverable with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
• Be able to work proficiently with WMS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal skills

£28k £32k - depending on experience

Afternoon - 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday

Permanent position - 33 days holiday
