Position: Social Worker - Localities Team
Location: Stockport Council
Hourly Rate: £35.00 per hour
About the Role:
Ackerman Pierce is currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join the Localities Team at Stockport Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact on the lives of children, young people, and their families by providing high-quality social work services within the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Conduct assessments, including Child and Family Assessments, to identify needs and risks.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans to meet the identified needs of children and families.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated services.
- Conduct home visits, attend meetings, and provide advocacy and support to service users.
- Ensure all casework is documented accurately and in a timely manner in line with statutory requirements.
- Participate in duty systems, including responding to emergencies and crisis situations.
- Attend court as required, preparing and presenting evidence to support casework decisions.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in children and families social work.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.
