A SEN teacher is needed for a pupil referral unit (PRU) in North London for secondary school students with special educational needs aged 11-16.

As a SEN teacher, you will be working with students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools, with the aim of providing them with qualifications to ensure a successful future.

This school is easily accessible from around London, with great transport links.

Willingness to do personal care is preferred for this role of SEN teacher.

Your responsibilities as a SEN teacher may include:

  • Lesson planning, delivery, and assessment for KS3 and KS4 students with SEN.
  • Setting and marking homework.
  • Adhering to the National Curriculum and relevant subject specifications.
  • Ensuring a safe and positive teaching and learning environment.

To be a SEN teacher, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas trained teacher awaiting QTS.
  • A clear and up-to-date DBS
  • Experience working as a Teacher in a UK school.
  • A patient and 'can-do' attitude.
