**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate  Contact Worker to join our team in Worcestershire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and facilitating contact between children and their families, ensuring a safe and positive environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about child welfare and have the necessary skills to manage sensitive situations effectively.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise and facilitate contact sessions between children and their families in a controlled and safe environment.
- Ensure the emotional and physical safety of children during contact sessions.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports on each contact session, including observations and any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, family members, and other professionals to support the child’s best interests.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Support families in understanding the contact process and the importance of positive interactions.
- Participate in regular training and development to stay updated on best practices in child welfare and contact supervision.

**Skills and Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a social care or child protection setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behavior and de-escalate tense situations.
- High level of empathy, patience, and sensitivity.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child welfare.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

**Education and Experience:**
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Childcare, or a related field.
- Experience working with children and families in a professional capacity.

**Working Conditions:**
- Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate family schedules.
- Travel within Worcestershire as required.

**Salary:**
- Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
