Our Client:

Located in the heart of Derbyshire, our client is an FE College that offers over 220 courses to all ages, abilities, and ambitions. They offer qualifications up to University level, as well as access qualifications, leisure courses, apprenticeships, and traineeships. They hold their values close to their heart, focusing on developing students' skills in their industry-standard facilities. They are a fairly small college but create a large impact to the community.

The role:

The college are looking for an Admin Assistant to work in their Finance and Bursary team. The role is focused on supporting the day-to-day operational demands that come with the delivery of high-quality student services.

Duties of the position:

  • Support the administration of the full range of FE College Discretionary Bursary Funds
  • To support effective communication around the Bursaries with students, parents, and staff
  • To use ICT Systems - Office 365, Student Record System, e-Tracker, and Paymystudent
  • Undertake clerical functions such as filing, photocopying, collating, and distributing documents
  • To ensure all work undertaken complies with current legislation such as GDPR and the Data Protection Act
  • Contribute to the promotion and development of the Financial Support Fund Team

What you need:

  • GCSE Maths and English - grade 4/C minimum
  • Level 3 Business Administration qualification or relevant experience
  • IT-based qualification
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role
  • Experience with the systems E-Tracker, Student Record System or Paymystudent
