Climb Recruitment are proud to be working with an industry leader in supplying high quality performance material grades and finished machined parts to the Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Marine and Green Climate solutions industries worldwide.

With increasing capability, capacity, and investment in people through the Sharing in Growth coaching and mentoring programme, they are looking to recruit a talented Customer Account Coordinator into their Aerospace team.

The Role

The role will help ensure the departmental sales and expenditure targets are achieved.

The role includes the primary development of existing accounts whilst nurturing new prospects and opportunities that present themselves.

The person will be responsible for a set of key accounts which may involve hosting customers on site or traveling to their locations.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

  • Order book management and providing key customers with updates as and when required.

  • Consult with internal & external departments.

  • Updating the CRM system to maintain customer records and management of diary.

  • Identifying potential issues within the supply chain and actioning ad-hoc stock shortages.

  • Produce own quotations to designated accounts, obtaining prices from Purchasing Manager where required.

  • Follow up quotations and update opportunity within CRM system

  • Generate new and repeat business and follow up on leads. 

  • Undertake sales order review procedures and any relevant documentation that may be required.

  • Provide market feedback on pricing, competition activity, and any projects/new business opportunities. 

  • Travel as and when required. (May include overnight stays) Estimated 6-8 trips within the UK, with potential for 1-2 overseas per annum.

  • Attend any relevant trade shows or exhibitions. For example, Farnborough & Paris Air shows.

The Candidate

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic individual with a proven track record in sales support / customer service to join our well-established team based in Sheffield – you will work on developing new and existing accounts within the Aerospace Industry.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Experience of managing customer accounts and LTA agreements.

  • Excellent relationship builder.

  • Flexibility for travel.

  • Computer literate – CRM and ERP systems.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Usual Hours of Work

  • Mon – Friday 8/9am to 4/5pm (1-hour lunch) – time to be agreed after induction and integration within the company.

  • Domestic and overseas travel will be required.
