Operations Manager - Manufacturing

Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of the full manufacturing process and Team.
  • Implement and maintain systems and processes that drive continuous improvements in all manufacturing activities.
  • Exemplary management of Health & Safety, ensuring that all employees work with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and comply with the Company’s safety policy.
  • Operations planning and managing day today scheduling, long term planning and capacity planning.
  • Work collaboratively with support functions to ensure the effective running of the production areas.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team to ensure the highest standards are delivered and provide guidance, coaching and training for those responsible for the day-to-day production operations.
  • Working with the People team to ensure timely completion of all associated people processes, such as recruitment, investigations, disciplinary and performance management.
  • Ensure engagement of the team and drive KPIs and achieve targets.
  • Responsibility for meeting and exceeding training requirements, identifying skill gaps and developing the team.
  • Work on developing and implementing a succession plan.
  • Carrying out performance reviews with staff.
  • Management of throughput and KPI Targets

Requirements:

  • Outstanding people management and development abilities with fantastic interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience of making improvements within a manufacturing business
  • An independently minded, decisive, problem solver!
  • Taking our Manufacturing site into the future with ongoing site investment
  • Operational expertise in process flow management
  • Forward thinking with substantial operational and people management experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexible approach to suit the position
  • Be a role model in terms of how to collaborate and influence in order to achieve improved performance.

Salary: Negotiable and Package

Working Hours: Monday to Friday
