Job Title Medical Imaging Equipment Specialist - Senior Radiographer 
Location: Reading Hybrid 2 Days

Objectives:

  • Assist the Chief Technologist in providing expert advice on diagnostic and interventional imaging or Radiotherapy equipment.
  • Support our client's MES replacement program for diagnostic equipment and provide guidance for new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain expert knowledge of diagnostic imaging modalities.
  • Develop technical specifications for procurement and new business.
  • Evaluate equipment tender responses.
  • Lead client meetings for equipment replacement planning and new business.
  • Collaborate with clients to select replacement equipment.
  • Assist in specifying diagnostic, interventional imaging, and Radiotherapy equipment.
  • Lead customer site visits for equipment procurement.
  • Coordinate equipment removal and installation.
  • Ensure applications training is conducted for new equipment.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge through various means.
  • Provide expert advice on medical equipment queries.
  • Assist MES account managers with contract variations.

  • Provision of expert technical knowledge.
  • Provision of detailed technical specifications.
  • Achievement of procurement targets and deadlines.
  • Alignment with our client's values.
  • Feedback from team, PMO, and clients.

Capability Profile: Required Capabilities:

  • Detailed knowledge of diagnostic imaging equipment or Radiotherapy equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills with NHS staff at all levels.
  • Strong ability to manage clinicians.

Qualifications: Essential:

  • Qualification in Diagnostic Radiographer, medical physics, or similar.
  • Professional Registration as a Healthcare professional.

Skills: Essential:

  • Detailed knowledge of medical equipment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience: Essential:

  • Experience in clinical settings.
  • Experience working with the NHS.
  • Good commercial understanding.
