They are looking for a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer to join their diverse and inclusive team on a 1-year fixed term contract. Role Overview

• Improve and develop supplier processes to meet procurement and quality management goals. This includes training suppliers on requirements, analysing their performance, and participating in improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and manage the safety, quality, and delivery performance of assigned suppliers using established metrics and KPIs.
• Enhance supplier capabilities by fostering a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven management.
• Keep abreast of product requirements and effectively communicate quality standards and initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with global functional departments with minimal supervision.
• Support and execute supplier qualification activities in line with global business management procedures.

The Candidate

• Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies such as 6 Sigma and 8D, and familiarity with 5S and Lean principles.
• Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and presentation software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to present and train effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of core manufacturing and inspection processes such as forging, fabrication, machining, coating, welding, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
• Understanding of how industry and regulatory standards interact with customer requirements.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational skills to manage a diverse workload effectively.
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate improvement projects.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO45001, and API Q1 audit processes, both as an auditor and an auditee.
