We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to report directly to the MD and oversee numerous projects.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements and company standards. This role requires a highly organised individual who can link all departments and serve as the primary client contact to effectively manage and deliver projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • APM Project Management Qualification or Prince 2 or equivalent (desirable).

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Project Manager for assigned projects and enquiries.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing and reporting on project progress as required.

• Oversee and issue tenders and offers for projects.

• Lead Turnkey Projects, utilising available discipline teams within the organisation.

• Develop and issue comprehensive Project Plans and Schedules for all project phases.

• Review and approve project documentation, including work packs, procedures, test plans, and risk assessments.

• Manage and issue project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and technical queries.

• Monitor project costs, reporting on turnover and profit versus budget.

• Manage project variations, identify changes to deliverables, and update projected costs accordingly.

• Conduct site visits for pre-quote surveys, progress monitoring, and compliance audits.

• Guide and mentor Junior Engineers in project management methods.

• Ensure familiarity with client and company HSEQ policies and procedures.

• Implement and enforce the Safety Management System and identify safe working methods.

• Stay updated with relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidance notes, and good industry practices.

• Plan, organise, and document client work processes to meet required standards with minimal risk.

• Provide clear instructions to company personnel and subcontractors to implement safe working methods and maintain communication lines.

• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, encouraging near-miss and accident reporting.

• Act immediately on any breaches of company rules and report to line management as required.

• Identify and address any inadequacies in the effectiveness of the management system.

Competencies:

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Strong managerial and team leadership abilities.

• Methodical and dynamic approach to project management.

• Proficient in IT, including MS Project, Excel, and Word.

• Qualified in Engineering either degree or Apprentice trained.

• Experience with offshore/port cranes and lifting- desirable.

• Thorough understanding of HSEQ requirements in oil & gas, renewables, ports, and marine environments- desirable.
