Job Title: RTG Crane Operator
Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Shifts: Days
Hours: 45-50 hours per week
We are currently recruiting for a Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) Crane Operator to join our team working on the HS2 Project, based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate travelling or stationary overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products, and materials.
- Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to instructions.
- Maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
- Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of any defects or malfunctions.
- Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
Qualifications & Training:
- B1 FLT licence.
- Training will be provided for anyone without a current licence.
Experience:
- Experience operating Gantry Cranes.
- Experience working with precast concrete products.
- Knowledge of civil construction practices, lifting plant and equipment.
