£55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits & Bonus (Monday to Friday)

We are currently recruiting a Warranty Engineer to join the Service Division of a Global Engineering Company providing company support on a facility in Loughborough, this position could become a Multiple Location role, in future with a Field Service Package.

Role & Responsibilities

As part of your duties as a Warranty Engineer you will be expected to;

  • Represent company interests on site.
  • Timely process any defects reported.
  • Organise required specialists in order to remedy defects of the disrupted plant operation.
  • Minimise warranty costs / risks (damage repair in case of doubt in order to minimise damages).
  • Support the demanding of performances and money from subcontractors and partner.
  • Handle the Notice of Defect of the client and agreement on the necessary measures with the warranty Project Manager.
  • To make arrangements with the client to ensure the operation.
  • Support for the claiming of warranty services from the subcontractors and consortium partners.
  • Execution of the Defect repair on site with the help of contractors, client's maintenance personnel / and subcontractors.
  • Request the necessary spare parts from the client for the remedy of Defects and report to the project engineer.
  • Participate at the preliminary discussion to the monthly client meeting for the duration of the warranty period.
  • Train plant operator in accordance to training guidelines.
  • Participate and support at the monthly meeting with the client.
  • Observe the operational management and notify to the client (through official channels) if the plant is operated beyond the load range diagram.
  • Keep continuous record of the shift book.
  • Plan and discuss the annual maintenance together with the supplier and client.
  • Input for Lessons Learnt, reporting of operation experience to Head Office.
  • Be aware of the HSE requirements relevant to their role and implements and complies with them.

Requirements

  • MUST hold a degree or equivalent within Mechanical or Technical Engineering.

To be considered for this position you must have a combination of the following experience criteria.

  • Problem solving: Introduction of necessary measures so that plant does not need to be shut down.
  • Solid track report (experience) in similar position for minimum 5 years.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with strong ethics and down-to earth mentality.
  • Fluent English oral and writing
  • Self-confidence and able to discuss topics on the same level as the client.
  • Experience in construction, plant operation and/or commissioning.
  • Good Product and market knowledge.
  • Reporting incidents in a precise and timely manner.

Package Details

  • Salary is £55,000 - £60,000 Per Annum.
  • This role is worked on a Monday to Friday basis and will come with additional benefits and bonuses.
  • This opportunity comes with a vast amount of training and high possibility of Overtime.
