Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently supporting a client in the search for a Customer Accounts Manager

The Customer Accounts Manager will be responsible for creating long-term, trusted relationships with our client's customers and manage assigned accounts, developing opportunities to upsell, whilst ensuring all customers renew their contracts.

Our client encourages applications from former Service personnel as this role will be working with the MOD, however all qualified candidates will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure long-term success and growth targets are achieved
  • Achieve assigned growth quotas in designated accounts.
  • Liaise with key Company staff, specifically the marketing team, to ensure marketing activities support the overall accounts.
  • Develop adjacent-square business opportunities as agreed and directed, transitioning the opportunity into either existing accounts or where appropriate a designated new account.
  • Develop positive and trusted relationships to generate new sales by making use of the existing and potential customer networks.
  • Lead negotiations on existing customer contracts for renewals ensuring appropriate commercial arrangements, NDAs and contracts are appropriately in place.
  • Liaise with Customer Success Managers to handle customer requirements.
  • Report monthly on the status of transactions, accounts, and sales
  • Support the marketing effort at trade shows, marketing events and marketing briefings, as directed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a customer-focused role with strong business-to-business input and a proven ability to build strong and effective customer relationships.
  • A background in a defence related business.
  • Demonstrable experience in meeting sales targets and objectives.
  • Proven experience working within a dynamic and changing environment, with excellent judgment and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to engage in multiple initiatives and opportunities at any one time.
