Position Overview:
As an Inventory Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the inventory and ensuring the highest standards of fabric quality. This position demands precision, attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills. The role involves diverse daily tasks, including liaising with suppliers, managing stockholding figures, and ensuring timely procurement to balance sales and stock requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers to ensure fabric meets high standards.
  • Stock Management: Establish and communicate final stockholding figures for base and coated fabrics to the General Manager.
  • Procurement: Ensure purchase orders are raised and expedited to meet sales and stock requirements.
  • Database Management: Create and maintain a comprehensive supplier database, track sampling trials, and manage production purchases.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure finished standards and specifications are met through proactive supplier communication.
  • Occasional Travel: The role includes occasional global travel to meet suppliers, adding an exciting dimension to your professional life.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in fabrics and textiles is highly desirable.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and manage procurement processes.
  • Proactive approach to supplier communication and quality assurance.
