Creative Classroom Assistant -Manchester

A specialist school in the Manchester Area who have a commitment to provide exceptional care and education to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across Sunderland are looking to recruit a Creative Classroom Assistant to start ASAP.

Their curriculum is carefully designed to intertwine the requirements of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), SEMH needs, and academic development, ensuring that students make progress in multiple areas simultaneously. They maintain a flexible yet consistent approach to progress, allowing our students to experience success, whether they’re navigating challenges or engaging in classroom-based learning.

You will use play-based learning in the classroom which will provide plenty of opportunity to bring your creative flair into the classroom!

Creative Classroom Assistant roles and responsibilities:

· Encouraging pupils to engage with classroom activities

· Run targeted interventions - support students on a 1:1 and small group basis

· Supporting with sessions in spelling, phonics and writing

· Planning enrichment activities for the pupils

· To help in the preparation and organisation of the classroom resources

· To lead small group activities within a class as directed by the teacher
