Textile Machinist

XCL Group are currently recruiting for a Textile machine operative for a manufacturing client based in Liversedge, West Yorkshire. The main purpose of the role would be to operate machines for the production of textiles.
The succesful candidate will be fully trained on the role, however, a background in textile production would be ideal as you would be involved in the produciton of non-woven felt. The training period for this position is likely to be up to 6 months.
Duties include:
- Operating textile machinery safelty in line with health and safety guidelines
- Manual lifting
- Flexibility to be able to assist within other departments to ensure that production is fluid and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure that all necessary PPE is worn
The Ideal candidate would have
- FLT License
- Drive and have access to owen vehicle
- Previous expereince in Textiles and or Carding
Hours are:
Rotating Double Days
6-2 and 2-10 Monday - Friday
Training hours will be 8-4:30
The hourly rate whilst training will be £11.44 which will increase to £14.12 once fully trained and comfortable with the position.
