Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

Location: Birmingham.

Salary: £52K – 53K + Premium Overtime Rates + Specialist Training + OEM Courses.

On-Target Earnings: 60K – 70K

Shifts: 4 on 4 off days and Nights

As Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintenance machinery across the factory.

The Role of a Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

Maintenance Engineer duties:
This is a perfect opportunity for any engineer with an electrical bias, you'll be responsible for maintaining a variety of heavy machinery in a casting environment. Depending on your skill set, you'll be involved in fault finding on 3 phase machinery, reading engineer drawings and diagrams, implementing a well-organised PPM schedule, hydraulics, diagnosing faults using Siemens PLC systems, and working on induction furnaces, extruders, and moulding machines.

  • Maintaining an organized PPM schedule.
  • Handling reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Preparing handovers and shift reports.
  • Ability to read, interpret electrical drawings.
  • Ability to understand the set up and configuration of variable speed drives..
  • Good understanding IEE wiring regulations
  • Experience with AC/DC drives, PLC, Scada as well as traditional control methodologies
  • Will have worked in a manufacturing environment
