MUST HAVE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS EXPERIENCE

Overview:

Responsible for selling a wide range of electrical connectors and related products to the military and industrial electronic equipment sectors.

Duties:

  • Maximize profitable sales of the Company’s interconnection products.
  • Identify new business opportunities in both existing and new markets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
  • Conduct customer visits to promote the Company’s products/services and identify potential new applications.
  • Participate in product-specific marketing campaigns to support the Company’s marketing strategy.
  • Support the Company’s design, marketing, and pricing functions.
  • Liaise with internal departments regarding pricing and delivery issues.
  • Provide timely and accurate management information as needed.
  • Adhere to existing Company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects to meet business needs.

Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours:

  • Strong technical knowledge of connectors and their applications in military and industrial electronic equipment.
  • Proven success in increasing sales of technical products, preferably connectors.
  • Education to HNC/D level (or equivalent) in an electro/mechanical discipline is preferred.
  • Familiarity with working in a BS EN ISO9001:2015 accredited environment.
  • Good personal representation and well-developed presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical data.
  • Proficiency in IT.
  • Effective planning and coordination of customer visits and internal presentations.
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and able to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commercially astute with well-developed negotiation skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach.
  • Holder of a full, clean UK driving licence and willing to drive reasonable distances.
  • Willing and able to stay away from home in the UK and abroad as needed.
  • Willing to participate in trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Holder of a full passport and able to undertake business-related air travel if required.
  • Potential to grow and develop within the business.
