MUST HAVE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS EXPERIENCE
Overview:
Responsible for selling a wide range of electrical connectors and related products to the military and industrial electronic equipment sectors.
Duties:
- Maximize profitable sales of the Company’s interconnection products.
- Identify new business opportunities in both existing and new markets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Conduct customer visits to promote the Company’s products/services and identify potential new applications.
- Participate in product-specific marketing campaigns to support the Company’s marketing strategy.
- Support the Company’s design, marketing, and pricing functions.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding pricing and delivery issues.
- Provide timely and accurate management information as needed.
- Adhere to existing Company policies and procedures.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects to meet business needs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours:
- Strong technical knowledge of connectors and their applications in military and industrial electronic equipment.
- Proven success in increasing sales of technical products, preferably connectors.
- Education to HNC/D level (or equivalent) in an electro/mechanical discipline is preferred.
- Familiarity with working in a BS EN ISO9001:2015 accredited environment.
- Good personal representation and well-developed presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical data.
- Proficiency in IT.
- Effective planning and coordination of customer visits and internal presentations.
- Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and able to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commercially astute with well-developed negotiation skills.
- Flexible and adaptable in approach.
- Holder of a full, clean UK driving licence and willing to drive reasonable distances.
- Willing and able to stay away from home in the UK and abroad as needed.
- Willing to participate in trade shows and exhibitions.
- Holder of a full passport and able to undertake business-related air travel if required.
