Overview:

South Yorkshire based manufacturer of precision engineered parts for highly regulated industries has a current need for a Quality Control Engineer. In this role you will be instrumental in the implementation of robust measurement techniques, increasing efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Production Engineering to develop and implement appropriate measuring techniques.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure measuring techniques and results are aligned prior to manufacture.
  • Ensure final products meet the appropriate regulatory standards prior to release.
  • Coordinate, train, and mentor staff in the use of current and new measuring equipment.
  • Maintain the NC database and produce reports as requested.
  • Develop internal and external inspection records.
  • Ensure new and current measuring equipment is adequately calibrated and validated prior to use.

The Person:

  • An extensive and in-depth understanding of measuring and inspection techniques.
  • CMM programming experience.
  • Experience of managing an internal NC database to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gage R & R Study experience.
