My client, an establsihed HVAC / Mechanical Contractoris looking for a Mechanical Project Manager.

A well-established mechanical building services contractor in Birmingham is expanding! They are looking for someone with experience on delivering fast paced office fit out projects for major blue chip clients. This role could suit an experienced project manager who is able to run multiple projects or also someone who is looking to make the step up and may need some support initially in the role.

Mechanical Project Manager Position Overview

You will be responsible for the management of the full project life cycle from pre-con, through delivery, to project completion. Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed limits for time, cost and quality. Typically project values will be between £250-750k.

The majority of projects are based in and around Birmingham but from time to time you may also be required to travel further afield to cover projects.

• Responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of projects
• Create and execute plans and work breakdowns/revisions as appropriate.
• Manage day-to-day project tasks
• Lead project meetings with clients, suppliers, and 3rd parties
• Communicate regular project updates internally and to clients
• Negotiate both internally and externally to resolve project risks and issues
• Manage project scope and change control
• Produce and maintain project initiation and management documents
• Provide consistent and reliable resourcing requirement
• Prepared to be hands on when required to ensure client satisfaction.
• Carry out full handover to client on project completion.

Mechanical Project Manager position Requirements

• SMSTS (ideally) and CSCS Card
• Considerable knowledge and experience of the full project life cycle and project management
• Preferably 4 years' experience working within a similar role but would look at Mechanical Project Engineers or site managers looking to make the step up
• Birmingham based with some travel on occasions
