Mechanical Site Manager - Portsmouth
A Mechanical and Electrical contractor who has been established for over 50 years is looking for a mechanical / M&E site manager to run a major site in Portsmouth for a well known blue-chip client.
This will be for an initial 15 months with a possibility of further projects in the region as they have just secured another end user client in the local area only recently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing site based mechanical trade contractors.
- Ensuring safe management and control of mechanical services installation & ensuring works are carried out in accordance with procedures/ processes.
- Technical documentation and project reporting including risk assessments, method statements, O&M manuals, technical submittals etc.
- Attending weekly progress meetings with the client, main contractor and subcontractors.
- Ensuring key milestones are achieved, with a high quality of installation maintained throughout.
Successful applicants will need to have the below:
- Mechanical / plumbing qualification
- CSCS card (Managers)
- SMSTS certificate
The ideal candidate will have upwards of five years' experience as a Mechanical Site Manager/ Mechanical Construction Manager whilst a stable career history with leading M&E building services contractors is also preferred.
