I am recruiting for our prestigious client based on the outskirts of Huntingdon, who are seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to join their team on a temporary assignment for 3-4 months. I am looking for the right candidate that has worked within a sales order processor environment. The Supply Chain Assistants main purpose is to support the Commercial Manager to ensure that our clients products arrive on time, in full and to the specification required.  This role is a crucial cog in their procurement machine.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that confirmations are loaded onto the system with supporting information (AWB, arrival times).
  • Sending Quality controller reports to growers and following through any outstanding issues.
  • Monitor daily arrivals vs ordered quantities
  • Assist with ordering samples
  • Review daily additional work
  • Updating 9am KPI’s
  • Review customer requirements with the commercial and planning teams and feedback any challenges or opportunities
  • Anticipate on any variances from the supplier’s side and feedback to the business
  • Update procurement reports
  • Send weekly forecasts to growers
  • Reviewing and checking invoices
  • Zero price reporting and updating price data
  • Review and update generic arrival times for all incoming deliveries
  • Model longer term demand and sales and monitor overall positions

Skills/Experience:

  • Prior office administration experience (Desirable not essential)
  • IT Literate – High level of IT literacy with extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Rubicon experience beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent numerical and literacy skills
  • Accuracy & attention to detail
  • Excellent planning & organisational skills
  • Prepared to see the job through to the end
  • Strong ability to coordinate
  • Analytical
  • Ability to work under pressure and with own initiative

Salary & Working Hours

  • £14.42 per hour
  • Start time 07:00am
  • 30 hours per week (flexible), can work 4 or 5 days per week.
