JOB OVERVIEW

Midland Structures Ltd are seeking an experienced steel paint sprayer to join our growing team. Commutable to Brierley Hill, you will ideally have experience working with heavy structural steelwork and will be able to confidently work to deadlines. In addition to the required skills, you must also be motivated to be a part of a successful and growing business. JOB TITLE /        Paint Sprayer AFTERNOONS

LOCATION /          On-site

JOB TYPE /           Full-time, permanent

RATE /                   £13.00 p/h, plus £1.50 shift allowance

HOURS /            14:00 – 22:30 Mon – Thurs & 13:00 – 19:00 Fri (40 hrs p/w & paid 30 min. breaks)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /

• Moving steelwork via manual handling, fork lift truck & overhead crane.
• Preparing steelwork prior to painting.
• Correctly mixing paints ready for application.
• Using airless paint spray systems to apply various types of paint to structural steelwork.
• Cleaning and maintaining all painting equipment & work areas.
• Working to an exceptionally high standard of quality at all times.
• Working at pace to ensure deadlines are met.
• Working both individually & as part of a small team.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE /

• Exceptional attention to detail & accuracy (essential).
• Experienced in working to strict quality standards (essential).
• Able to work under pressure & meet tight deadlines (essential).
• Experienced in painting structural or heavy steel, ideally 3 years +  (preferred).
• Experienced in the application of intumescent coating (preferred).
• Some knowledge & experience of shotblasting structural steel (preferred).
• Fork lift truck & overhead crane licence (preferred however training can be provided)
• Willingness to work overtime during busy periods.

Through investment and innovation, we have developed a supply chain capable of accommodating our customer’s requirements with projects ranging from 1 tonne up to 1000 tonnes. With the latest software and machinery, we are able to process in excess of 150 tonnes of steelwork per week.

Our 70,000 sq. ft. factory is equipped with two cut and drill lines, submerged arc welding, in house shot blasting, plasma cutting, robotic coping, off site assembly and a dedicated intumescent paint facility. Our Cutting-Edge facility reliably gives customers steelwork delivered on time and within budget allowing us to focus on building relationships within the industry.
