We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer to join our client, a market leader in the water industry, for a role covering the Thames Water framework, with a focus on the southern part of the region. This position will focus on overseeing the engineering aspects of water treatment projects and pumping stations, ensuring the successful delivery of these critical infrastructure projects.

As a key member of the project management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing engineering tasks, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing engineering tasks for water treatment projects and pumping stations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborating with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to understand and define project requirements.
  • Preparing and reviewing project plans and specifications, including technical drawings and documentation.
  • Conducting project reviews and ensuring that all engineering tasks meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Managing the timely delivery of engineering tasks and ensuring effective communication with the project team.
  • Supporting the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring specifications are met.
  • Providing technical support during project execution, including troubleshooting and resolving engineering-related issues.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with engineering regulations and standards.
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to junior engineers, promoting continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in engineering for water treatment projects and pumping stations.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with relevant design software and tools.
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers.
