CAD Technician

£27-30k Negotiable depending on experience

Job Purpose:

To be responsible for creating, updating, and amending project-specific and standard detail drawings that support the commercial team in securing project approvals. 

This role is critical in ensuring precise and accurate designs that meet client requirements and assist in achieving project approvals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed and accurate drawings based on project specifications and client requirements.
• Update and amend drawings for approval to assist in setting status A sign off.
• Modify and update existing drawings to reflect changes in project scope or specifications.
• Ensure all revisions are documented and communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.
• Produce standard detail drawings to show different project specification details.
• Collaborate with the Projects team to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Liaise with relevant managers to ensure all drawings meet necessary standards.

Key Skills:

• Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all drawings and revisions.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
• Competent at identifying and rectifying errors or discrepancies.
• Team player with a high level of dedication.
• Excellent communication skills i.e. written and verbal communication.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Time management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or degree in CAD, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience of working in a similar role.

Working hours  

08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 7:30 to 14:00 on Friday.
