About the Role: We are excited to partner with an exciting data-led engineering firm. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Data Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, contributing to data-driven decision-making and business success.

Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing Data Ingestion: Overseeing the data ingestion process through various APIs to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Azure: Employing the robust features of the Microsoft Azure platform for effective data handling and storage.
  • Curating Data with SQL: Using advanced SQL querying to curate and structure data for analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborating with End Users: Engaging with end users to understand their data requirements, ensuring that datasets are accurately made available in Databricks, SQL, and PowerBI environments.
Required Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • API Understanding: Strong experience in managing and integrating data through APIs.
  • Proficiency in JSON: Expertise in handling and manipulating JSON data formats.
  • Advanced SQL Skills: Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries for data curation.
  • Database Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of database architecture and data warehousing principles.
  • Azure Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure platform, including data services and tools.
