Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Manchester)
The Role: Qualified Solicitor (c.2+ PQE) opportunity to join one of the largest and respected Commercial Litigation teams in Manchester. You will handle cases involving:
- Pre- and post-publication advice
- Crisis reputation management (defamation, privacy, online reviews)
- Media scrutiny and regulatory investigations
- Urgent injunctive relief
- Defamation and malicious falsehood claims
- Confidential information protection (NDAs, licensing, breach of confidence)
- Harassment and cyber security
- Data protection compliance and breach responses
Role Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of litigation, especially in defamation, privacy, breach of confidence, UK GDPR, and harassment
- County and High Court litigation experience
- Effective time management, billing, and cost recovery
- Understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Ability to refer to the Head of Department when necessary
- Legal updates and blog contributions
Desirable Skills:
- Defamation, privacy, GDPR, breach of confidence, and harassment experience
- Experience with injunctive relief and pre-publication advice
- Team player with business development skills
- Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and Media List requirements
