Position: Sales Executive
Reporting to: Sales Director

Job Summary:

As a Sales Executive, you will play a critical role in interpreting customer requirements, processing orders, and liaising with suppliers and internal departments. You will have the authority to question any instruction that you believe to be incorrect and raise your concerns appropriately. Your goal will be to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient order fulfillment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Requirements Interpretation:
    Understand and interpret customer requirements during the enquiry stage.
    Participate in training sessions to achieve the required level of competence in customer requirement analysis.
  • Estimation and BOM Preparation:
    Prepare estimations including Bill of Materials (BOM) and determine the best manufacturing route.
    Source components from alternative suppliers when necessary.
    Receive training to develop necessary competence in BOM preparation and component sourcing.
  • Order Processing:
    Process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
    Ensure timely and correct fulfillment of orders.
  • Material Purchasing:
    Purchase materials required to complete jobs, maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality.
    Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • General Housekeeping:
    Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    Ensure all records and files are kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Learning and Development:
    Show a willingness to learn new skills and develop existing ones.
    Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Assisting in Other Office Roles:
    Provide support to other office roles as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
    Engage in various tasks to support overall office operations.
  • Customer Liaison:
    Effectively communicate with customers regarding quotations and order details.
    Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Fastener Knowledge:
    Possess knowledge of fasteners and their applications.
    Continuously update knowledge about new fastener products and technologies.
  • Attention to Detail:
    Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
    Ensure all documentation and records are precise and error-free.
  • Self-Motivation:
    Exhibit a proactive and self-driven attitude towards work.
    Take initiative to identify and resolve issues independently.
  • Computer Literacy:
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant computer applications.
    Utilize computer skills to generate reports, manage data, and communicate effectively.
  • Communication Skills:
    Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Be adaptable and willing to take on various job functions as required.
