PRINT PRE PRESS TECHINICIAN

WEST YORKSHIRE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Salary: £Open DOE (Depending on Experience) + Other Benefits TBD

Company Overview: Our client is a dynamic and established printing company based in West Yorkshire. They specialise in a wide range of printing services and operate various equipment, including Heidelberg B1 and B2 presses, MBO's, Guillotines, Muller Martinis, and large format machinery. Their dedicated team of approximately 25 staff members work collaboratively to deliver high-quality print products to a diverse clientele.

Position Overview: They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pre Press Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for imposing and preparing printing plates using XMF software, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision. This role is crucial to the efficient operation of the printing presses and overall production workflow.

*Training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize XMF software to impose and prepare printing plates for Heidelberg B1 and B2 presses.
  • Ensure accurate and timely production of printing plates according to job specifications.
  • Collaborate with the prepress and production teams to streamline workflow and maintain quality control.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plate-making equipment.
  • Manage digital files and ensure proper storage and organization.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in plate-making technology.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Plate Maker in a printing environment.
  • Proficiency in using XMF software for imposition and plate preparation.
  • Familiarity with Heidelberg B1 and B2 presses and other printing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
