Our global motorcycle manufacturing client is urgently looking to fill the following role:

Instrumentation Engineer Motorcycles - Competitive Salary + Benefits - Leicestershire

Job Requirement:
This position is responsible for the planning and instrumenting of test vehicles that require data logging.

Key Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Work with Design and Test Engineers to plan and execute tests.
- Design and manufacture any fixtures/bracketry for sensor mountings.
- Remotely provide data logging support during testing.
- Carry out shakedown of instrumentation.
- Basic analysis of data to ensure functionality.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair data logging systems.
- Keep the calibrations up to date for the sensors and data logging systems.

Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of CAN
- Strain gauges, bridge configuration and application.
- Basic knowledge and application of the following sensors: LVDTs & RVDTs, DC & ICP accelerometers, Oil/Fuel/Brake pressure sensors, K-type thermocouples.
- Fundamental knowledge of motorcycles and their systems.
- Basic electronic component knowledge.
- Basic experience working with low voltage DC wiring: Soldering, Crimping, Splicing, etc.
