Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 5 pm and Friday 8:30 am – 4 pm

 
What you’ll be doing as a National Account Controller
Reporting to the Commercial Director the role is to head up the designated Account/Accounts which involves responsibility for the turnover, volume, management, and coordination of a team of people, ensuring optimum performance, providing customer focus whilst generating sustained and profitable growth, forging stronger business partner relationships.
 
Key responsibilities of the National Account Controller

  • Manage board-approved budgeted annual volume and EBITDA revenue for Refresco UK, overseeing customers and National Account Manager.
  • Develop growth strategies for designated customers and control advertising and promotional budgets.
  • Responsible for SKU profitability, strategic planning for profitable growth in soft drink categories, and driving NPD and own label initiatives.
  • Manage customer initiatives, collaborate with senior teams, and ensure all aspects of Trade Marketing/Planning and Account Management meet customer demands.
  • Instigate project teams to improve business performance, maintain high customer service levels, and present monthly budget updates.
  • Minimise aged debt and packaging, raw material, and finished goods write off.

 

About you
The ideal candidate should have experience as a National Account Manager or equivalent, demonstrating a track record of delivering profitable and sustainable sales and marketing results. Strong communication and man-management skills are essential. A minimum of five years' sales experience in FMCG, including a proven success with top grocery retailers, is required, along with a track record of delivering retailer own-label NPD. Additionally, the candidate should have strong commercial awareness, first-class negotiation ability, and excellent verbal, written, and IT skills. Demonstrated experience in managing a large cross-functional team and a proactive approach to conflict management and business opportunity-seeking are also vital.
