Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC reg. Psychologist to work within an acute inpatients service in Southwest Essex.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be joining a brand-new service for adult an acute inpatient hospital. The post holder will be joining an MDT working with service users in an acute phase, and crisis, of their mental illness. Presentations may include acute depressive illness, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorder and/or substance misuse and self-harm

The successful candidate will conduct assessments (diagnostic, cognitive and risk), and deliver interventions both on a 121 and group basis. The role will include facilitating staff reflective practice sessions, to design and deliver training.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – full time, subject to applications part time may be considered.

Salary - up to £70,000 FTE

Experience required:

Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration along with previous experience working with complex mental health.
