GSL Education are seeking a Primary Teacher to work part time within a West Hull Primary School

The ideal Teacher will be driven to provide exceptional education and enrichment experiences whereby pupils can benefit from a wealth of opportunities to develop academically, socially and emotionally.  The school as a wonderful enrichment programme for their students with a focus on sports, music and arts, experiences provided maximise student potential and fuel ambition. 

This role is a part time opportunity, and you will be required 19.5 hours weekly with a September 2nd Start Date (You will be expected to attend the school inset and training day) 

Expectations of the role: 

  • Teach the curriculum tailored to the specific age and ability groups of your students
  • Take responsibility for preparing and developing teaching materials, lesson plans, and pastoral care arrangements as needed
  • Be mindful of students' capabilities and prior knowledge, planning and differentiating your teaching methods accordingly to enhance learning
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of how students learn
  • Have a clear understanding of the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs, those who are gifted and talented, those with English as an Additional Language (EAL), and those with disabilities
  • Employ and evaluate effective teaching strategies to engage and support all learners
  • Use a variety of observation, assessment, monitoring, and recording methods to set challenging learning objectives for students of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions
  • Monitor their progress and levels of attainment consistently.

Our Requirements:

  • Must hold qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Proven record of high-quality classroom teaching
  • Practical knowledge of effective teaching and assessment methods
  • Familiarity with programs such as RWI and Talk for Writing
  • Dedicated to ensuring the welfare of all children and fostering a safe, supportive learning environment, always prioritizing the best interests of the child
