Nottingham City, but travel to other Framework sites may be required. Some home working is an option.

Permanent, 37 hours per week 

Framework Housing Association is a registered charity delivering housing, support, health and employment services to people with a diverse range of needs. We assist rough sleepers and those who need help to keep their home. We support excluded youngsters as they make their way into adulthood and those starting or returning to work. We provide access to treatment for people with mental health issues, those misusing alcohol or illegal substances, and join up services for homeless people with multiple and complex needs. 

We have an exciting opportunity to make a difference and join our Finance Team of 9 as an Management Accountant. Your role will support Framework in delivering vital life-changing services to 19,000 service users across the East Midlands. You will support Operations Managers to deliver services within budgets and be required to help submit grant claims for each service to ensure that all income is claimed. 

The right candidate will be an experienced finance professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret and explain financial information to non-finance managers. You will ideally be currently completing a professional accountancy qualification, but we will accept qualification through experience. We will support you to complete or start the relevant qualification. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Act as finance business partner to Framework’s Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Service, and Operational Managers who are budget holders.   

  • Lead on the completion of grant claims to draw down funding and operate supporting systems that collate data efficiently and effectively, including liaison and agreement with Operational Managers.   

  • Support the completion of bid applications by providing financial information aligned to the bid specification by working with Operational Managers. 

  • Advise budget holders on financial performance and prepare re-forecasts against budget. 

  • Work with the Finance Manager and Head of Finance to develop the financial system and associated working practices. 

Essential Experience: 

  • Part-qualified CIMA or equivalent  

  • A minimum of three year’s work experience in a relevant role  

  • Experience of summarising and presenting financial performance to boards or committees  

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and forecasting 

  • Excellent core finance and management accounting knowledge covering budgets, variance analysis, I&E, balance sheets and cashflows  

  • Committed to ongoing professional development.   

Desirable Experience: 

  • Fully AAT qualified or equivalent  

  • Experience of line managing employees
