The Company:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of smoke and fire control and protection systems. They provide innovative solutions to a range of clients internationally.
Location:
This role is located at our client's site in Sheffield but this role may also require additional travel to visit conferences, shows, suppliers and customers across the UK.
Your main duties will be:
. To lead the development of new, commercially viable products and solutions.
. Developing new products via in house experimentation and working with extern al bodies (e.g. academic institutions, industry bodies).
- Create and manage research and development projects
- Provide a monthly report on R&D activities and a full update during the quarterly R&D meeting.
- Provide support to the businesses regarding electronics and electrical using the two direct reportees
- Work with the businesses to ensure product standards are understood and support testing to these standards.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- HND/HNC or first degree qualified in a engineering, technical or physical science discipline
- Success of developing new B2B products or providing technical solutions
- Working in a R&D environment
- Producing or processing of chemicals/materials
- Managing engineering and R&D projects
