Job Title: Autism Support Assistant
Location: Barking and Dagenham
Salary range: £85-£95 per day
Start date: ASAP

Join our dynamic client school in Barking and Dagenham as an Autism Support Assistant and be a beacon of hope and guidance in the world of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Job Responsibilities:- Provide Individualised Support: Work one-on-one with students with Autism to foster their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with Educators: Partner with teachers to create and implement tailored learning plans.
- Monitor Progress: Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies to meet their evolving needs.
- Promote Inclusivity: Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that respects and values diversity.
- Assist with Daily Activities: Support students with daily routines and activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, teachers, and support staff.
- Experience with SEN: Previous experience working with children with Autism or other Special Educational Needs.
- Relevant Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, is preferred.
- Empathy and Patience: A genuine understanding and patience for the challenges faced by students with Autism.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with children, parents, and staff.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students and the classroom environment.
- Commitment to Safeguarding: A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential.
