Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Location: Derby, Derbyshire

Contract: Full time

Salary: £70,000-£75,000 + benefits

Established for over 45 years, our client, a leading provider of Mechanical and Electrical services across diverse construction sectors, is seeking a skilled Electrical Project Manager to join their team in Derby.

As an integral part of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in managing all on-site aspects of projects, ensuring the successful achievement of project deliverables. Daily collaboration with Suppliers, Site Supervisors, Project Managers, EHSQ, and Subcontractors is a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

·Develop and implement cost-effective plans for timely project completion within budget constraints.

·Execute the scope of work in construction/fabrication and pre-commissioning in accordance with the approved Project Schedule.

·Adhere to client Safety, EHS, and Quality Standards, aligning with relevant policies and procedures.

·Oversee day-to-day electrical construction management on the project.

·Monitor and report project details, progress, risks, and opportunities to the regional director in a timely manner.

·Document all changes to specifications, work scope, and drawings.

·Monitor construction and schedule performance.

·Manage site design and electrical construction processes.

·Plan resources, including labour, materials, and subcontractors.

·Procure necessary resources through effective procurement processes.

·Lead and drive the team and specialist subcontractors to meet project requirements and deadlines.

·Serve as the Electrical System Walkdown lead.

·Attend daily meetings as the Electrical Lead.

Skills and Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar discipline.

·Comprehensive understanding of the tendering process.

·Working knowledge of MS Project, MS Office Suite.

·Experience with AutoCAD is beneficial.

·Willingness to learn and adapt to different project elements.

·5 years of post-qualification experience in Construction/Project Management is preferred.
