We are incredibly proud to run a dedicated adult services programme that specialises in supporting and empowering people with autism.
We are looking for a Registered manager to join our team overseeing our two residential services in Crewkerne, Middle Path and Barns Close. We're looking for someone who can work as a key motivator to a very dedicated team, driving the service forward to ensure we deliver unlimited possibilities for the people we support.
The properties are conveniently located just under a mile apart and support eight adults across the two homes.
A day in the life of a Registered Manager would include:
- Leading the day-to-day running of the service and support team
- Providing leadership, direction and support, guidance and mentoring to staff within the service, whether that be with supervisions, 1-2-1, or weekly team briefings
- Managing all CQC compliance and best practices across the service
- Setting objectives that are clear, aspirational, and achievable for our colleagues and the people we support
- Providing on-call support to colleagues on a rota basis
- Ensuring the home is well maintained, liaising with our health and safety and maintenance teams where appropriate
Our ideal candidate:
- NVQ level 4 or 5 in social care/management (or working towards)
- Autism qualification preferred
- Reliability and commitment to delivering best practice
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and report writing skills
- A readiness to work un-social hours on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in duties
- Ability to lead and motivate others, work as part of a team and strive for excellence
- A proven track record working with autism and challenging behaviour
Why join us?
- A rewarding job, full of variety and opportunities for career development
- 12-week induction programme consisting of in-house training, e-learning, shadowing, coaching, and mentoring.
