Job Description:
The successful candidate will be inspecting, verifying and reporting all incoming and outgoing product quality to requirements using test and measuring methods and equipment. The role also includes calibration of certain equipment, writing detailed reports and producing quality documentation as required enabling On Time Delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, or measure materials as part of the goods inwards process to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
- Inspect and test product and complete documentation as part of the final inspection process to verify conformance to specifications and enable On Time Delivery.
- Produce Reject Notes and provide factual data to enable effective return of products to suppliers and feedback on quality.
- Follow MRB procedures in managing NC product and completion of documentation.
- Conduct inspection and evaluation of RMAs (returns) and associated documentation to determine status.
- Prepare customer required information and submit to the customer.
- Calibrating mechanical measuring equipment and ensuring records are maintained.
- Work collaboratively with the production team and provide advice to correct errors and increase efficiency and recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
- Utilise inspection equipment (calipers, Verniers, micrometers, gauges etc.) to verify quality.
- Carry out data analysis to provide information on reject rates.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in Quality Inspection from a manufacturing background
- Have the ability to use basic test and inspection equipment (calipers, verniers, surface tables).
- Experience in using a Quality database to update inspection data and information.
- Able to interpret manufacturing drawings, specifications and test results.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft office applications
Salary/Hours/Benefits:
- £30,000 - £35,000
- 07:30 - 15:30
