Job Opportunity: Fire Sprinkler Designer

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join their team.

Paying £50,000-£70,000 Depending on Experience

Location is Essex based but hybrid working is available CM13 3LH

Responsibilities:

• Produce building layouts to prepare and design automatic and fixed fire protection systems from client drawings or site surveys.
• Ensure designs comply with the appropriate design standards/codes of practice acceptable to specifications stipulated by the customer and the authority having jurisdiction.
• Participate in systems training and product awareness programs provided to the successful candidate.

Duties:

• Prepare AutoCAD layout drawings.
• Create service overlays.
• Develop fire system design layouts.
• Travel to sites for surveys as required.
• Adhere to quality procedures around design control functions.
• Undertake CSCS skill training (provided).
• Engage in continuous development through in-house and external training.

Skills/Experience/Requirements:

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Technician or similar role.
• GCSEs in Maths and English.
• Proficient in IT, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and commercial sprinkler design experience.

Desirable:

• Engineering background.
• Knowledge/experience with British & American sprinkler rules.
• Experience with 3D services such as Revit or CAD MEP.

Key Result Areas:

• Proficient in computer-aided design using AutoCAD.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
• General computer literacy.
