£11.44 - £12.48/annum Commission

You will provide support to management within your designated area(s), including staffing requirements, directing, advising and training team members -- with safety and efficiency the priority. You will also communicate any concerns to management with regard to assessing their performance. 

You are responsible for the direct line management of all functions assigned to you. This also includes adherence to legislative safety practices and deadlines to the team(s), whilst motivating them. 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Direct the day-to-day activities of team members assigned to your area.
  • Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas of training and development required; including coaching and monitoring whilst promoting an engaging culture.
  • Set clear expectations and drive high individual and team performance within designated area(s), monitoring team performance against objectives and raising performance concerns quickly with your line manager.
  • Address challenges and constraints effectively.
  • Lead your team to achieve operational excellence and best in class standards.
  • Role model effective and respectful working behaviours whilst championing customer service.
  • Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with EVCGF policies and procedures.
  • Keep your line manager appraised of any developing difficulties.
  • Ensure that all equipment is working and safe, and report damaged or broken equipment to your line manager.
  • Identify systems or process improvements and make recommendations for change.
  • Ensure quality and productivity standards for all processes are satisfied and develop strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company and local statutory obligations regarding SHEQ by being a Health & Safety champion in the Distribution Centre, and ensure the standards and housekeeping are maintained and continuously improved.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organised and safe working environment and deal with potential hazards quickly and effectively.
  • Member of HACCP team, undertaking audits as specified and other administrative work associated with ensuring BRC standards are satisfied.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably assigned by your Team Leader.
