Position Overview:

GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistants to join our team in Southwark. This rewarding role involves working closely with students in SEN schools, helping them to achieve their full potential and overcome various challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized support plans.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students' educational and emotional development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support (desirable but not essential).
