Company Background:
We are recruiting for the UK & European Division of a large and well-established US owned organisation with worldwide operations. They operate in a niche sector market providing technical and data driven solutions to a diverse client base including both private and public sector entities. They are expanding in the UK & Europe in terms of both turnover and profit due to their market leading technology and top-quality people.
The Role:
Managing a small team, you will lead the monthly and yearly financial reporting requirements for multiple European entities whilst Business Partnering the In-country Vice Presidents. Due to growth and continuous improvement initiatives, you will lead on multiple business projects including a European wide ERP implementation.
We are seeking an experienced Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA,CPA) professional with a proven track record who will provide the necessary financial reporting, compliance and support whilst making improvements to financial procedures and controls and commercial business partnering. This is a key and newly created position with an important role to play in the management and development of junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the European month-end close process for agreed areas of responsibility, supported by the finance team, in accordance with agreed timetables
- Manage cash flow on a European basis to ensure funds are always available to meet requirements and working with Corporate Treasury to minimize FX risks
- Manage the Year End audit planning and execution process
- Ensuring each business within the Group meets all its statutory and financial compliance obligations to IFRS standards
- Lead, manage and develop a small but highly professional team
- Provide a business partnering service to the local MDs with full involvement in all commercial areas including support for major bids and tenders
Candidate Profile:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with post qualification experience
- Strong technical financial and commercial accounting knowledge
- Good communication and team management skills
- The ability to work autonomously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to absorb large data sets and present concise and coherent business narratives in support of Group and In-Country commercial initiatives
- Ability to manage your workload working within a fast-paced business
- International exposure to a complex business, preferably US based

£80,000 - £90,000 + Benefits
